3. Heat Of The Moment - Asia
It's a common adage that you should never, ever, set your favourite song as your alarm clock. No matter how much you love the tune, you'll grow sick of it in no time. Even something as incredible and timeless as Asia's "Heat Of The Moment" can fall victim to this, and Sam Winchester learned that lesson the hard way.
Season three's "Mystery Spot" gave fans a tasty slice of Groundhog Day fun, as seen through the eyes of Sam Winchester. He awoke each morning to the sound of this classic tune, as he relived the same day over and over. Naturally, Dean would have a great morning rocking out to the track, whereas Sam got increasingly more agitated and furious with it.
This was a sublime option out of all the songs they could have chosen. You got to see Dean having fun with some lip-synching (a Jensen Ackles staple, apparently), and the repetitive nature of the chorus made it feel genuinely stuck on a loop. Plus, it's just a fantastic song, even if Sam didn't think so.
