10 Most Insane Community Fan Theories

Here is something that once noticed can't be unnoticed. When looking at Jeff and Chang's storylines, they do have some very strange similarities to them. A theory put forward by Reddit's /dykno_soar/ explained this further.

Jeff is disbarred from his law career after it is found out that he has no real degree and forced to go to Greendale to get an actual degree and get his career back. Chang, whilst he is already at Greendale, fakes his qualifications to get the Spanish teacher job and is later ratted out by Annie. Just as Jeff was ratted out by Alan Connor.

Going further, both Chang and Jeff have very narcissistic personalities (though so do many who attend and teach at Greendale) and both of them seek power. Jeff has control over the study group as they all often turn to him to fix their problems, whereas Chang eventually raises an army of children and takes over the entire school as a merciless dictator.

Physically, they are the polar opposite of one another: Jeff is tall and handsome, where Chang is short and not as handsome. They both exhibit strong sexual motivations throughout the run of the show, with Jeff having a tryst with Britta before having a mutual crush on Annie.

Chang, on the other hand, has his mannequin leg - though he is shown to pursue aggressively many real women during the run of the show and has sex with Shirley.

The difference between them seems to be that Jeff has his friends and Chang does not. Otherwise, they do share more in common than they would think. This has led many to believe that Chang is just a dark version of Jeff.
