10 Most Messed Up Deaths In Hannibal

Abel Gideon has one of the most interesting and gruesome deaths in Hannibal. He was a recurring villain for most of season one and two.

Originally a patient at Doctor Frederick Chilton's insane asylum, Gideon kept telling everyone he was the famed Chesapeake Ripper so he could achieve more fame and attention from people, despite the real ripper actually being Hannibal.

And so when Gideon escaped from his asylum he was ambushed by Hannibal who laid out an overelaborate way for the imposter to die. Gideon was forced by Hannibal to literally eat his own limbs, each of which were each prepared in honesty delicious-looking methods, as gross as it is to admit.

From being smoked in thyme to eating snails that were eating his own leg, Gideon and Hannibal feasted on both legs and then his arms until Gideon was finally released from his hell.

Hannibal used what was left of Gideon to frame Doctor Chilton as the "real" Chesapeake Ripper, leaving Gideon alive just long enough for Chilton to find him laying in his house where he finally bled to death.

Gideon was an interesting character but his death is definitely one of the most messed up due simply to how long it took.
