10 Most Messed Up Deaths In Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

4. Mila - What You Leave Behind

Mila was guilty of nothing more than association, though this did little to spare her an ignoble death at the hands of the Dominion in What You Leave Behind. She had been the housekeeper for Enabran Tain for years and, most likely, was Garak's mother - though this was never confirmed on screen.

When Garak, Damar, and Colonel Kira found themselves stranded on Cardassia Prime, she sheltered them, allowing them to use her home as their base while they rebuilt the Cardassian resistance movement.

This came crashing to an end when she was discovered, and murdered, by several Jem'hadar soldiers. She was thrown down her own stairs, followed by a grenade, which surely finished the job that the soldiers had started. She was avenged, not just by the Cardassian soldiers who accompanied those Jem'hadar, but by those who she saved. She may not have lived to see it but Cardassia was liberated mere hours after her death.
