10 Most Powerful Weapons In Doctor Who History

7. The TARDIS

For most fans of Doctor Who, the TARDIS is anything but a weapon. It's the Doctor's vessel that is both sentient and benevolent, but it's also an excellent warship too.

Because it has the ability to travel through time and space, it has the potential to do far more damage than most conventional (or unconventional) weapons employed in warfare. A TARDIS has infinite space within, so an entire army could garrison inside and appear anywhere and anytime - and that's just the beginning.

A fully-functional TARDIS has a chameleon circuit which allows it to blend in with its surroundings, making it difficult to see in any setting. The TARDIS also has shielding capabilities, and hey, in a pinch, it can even ram and crash into things, destroying them with ease - see the War Doctor flattening a group of Daleks in The Day of the Doctor.

The TARDIS energy that passed into Rose made Captain Jack Harkness immortal, which is another hint of its almighty power. Oh, and if a TARDIS explodes, it can also destroy the universe. No biggie.

The Time Lords used a different kind of TARDIS called a Battle TARDIS during the Time War, but this is a weapon that hasn't yet been explored onscreen.
