7. Mister Fisto, "Rein und klar, wie's früher war" - Germany, 1986
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQiFa7NKPhc It's wonderful to think that synthesizers link the likes of this abomination and Daft Punk together. Yes, Mister Fisto actually finished 11th - one place ahead of That's Life - in the 1986 German National Final. With the two men on the keyboard looking like rejected Doctor Who villains (which is saying a lot, given the caliber of 80s Who villains), they somehow don't look the most ridiculous people on the stage thanks to the flesh-coloured dancer flailing around in front of them. Just when you think it can't get any weirder, the three Disney princesses to the side suddenly cut in and the song shifts completely. It's like somebody gave Mister Fisto a bet to draw two different styles of music out of a hat and stitch them together in to a song. And then you realise that they're called Mister Fisto. Nothing made sense in Germany in the 80s, did it?
