Time travel is something that Star Trek has continued to use as the backbone of an episode many times. Whether it's going back in time to preserve the timeline or going into the future to see how things may turn out, many great episodes that provide some great twists come out of time travel. This entry is one of those episodes.

Seven of Nine is drafted by Captain Braxton to go back to before Voyager sets off on it's fateful journey to prevent an explosive being placed in the ship and destroying it years later. However no one, not even Seven or Braxton himself, can believe that the person responsible for Voyager's destruction was in fact the man trying to save it.

That's right, Braxton himself put the explosive onboard IN THE FUTURE after being sent to rehabilitation due to the events of Future's End. He was fed up with constantly having to repair the timeline thanks to Janeway's actions.

The revelation that future Braxton was essentially being hunted by a past version of himself may give some viewers a headache, but it's an excellent way to spice up a regular detective type mystery. By completely throwing out the rulebook around a detective mystery, the writers manage to provide a twist that only Star Trek can get away with.
