Joining his fellow late night talk show host John Oliver in lending his voice to Rick and Morty, Stephen Colbert voiced Zeep Xanflorp in the second season episode The Ricks Must Be Crazy. Considering the host of the Late Show very rarely appears in film or TV, particularly playing someone other than himself, this is a rare turn for the talented performer/writer and a chance for him to let loose.

Zeep Xanflorp is a rival of similar (although ultimately inferior) intellect to that of Rick, a genius scientist who exists in the Miniverse which Rick created. By far the most satisfying aspect of this episode was seeing the two intellects spar in cerebral and immature verbal confrontations.

Colbert's Zeep proved a popular character who will hopefully return if we visit another Miniverse to maybe take Rick's arrogance down a peg, as he realises he isn't always the smartest person in the room.
