10 Most Terrifying Deaths In Modern Doctor Who

9. Flatlining

One of Doctor Who's most unusual villains, The Boneless from 2014's Flatline harvested body parts and experimented on human subjects by making them 2-D.

Capturing and killing residents in Bristol, trapping them within murals and displaying their cross-sectioned bodies as artwork, the Boneless were attempting a slow invasion of our dimension. Learning about human anatomy by removing sections of their victims and studying them in a two-dimensional format, these strange monsters planned to mimic and replicate human life.

The deaths the Boneless caused were especially graphic and creepy, but particular killings of note include PC Forrest, who screamed in agony as she was flattened and her nervous section dissected to be displayed on a wall. Likewise, when the community service workers tried to escape, the Boneless halved them and splintered them across various walls and floors as 2-D images.

When strong enough, the Boneless could finally become three-dimensional - stealing their victims' skin to wear as eerie, fluctuating disguises. Luckily, they were stopped by the Twelfth Doctor who sent them back to their own dimension to do some more studying.
