It has been an eventful journey for this Breaking bad spin-off, as it wrestled expectations and became a strong entity in its own right.

It has given Bob Odenkirk's spineless comedic character from the original title, a surprisingly deep arc. At this point though, it has almost become just as much an origin story for fan-favourite Mike, played by the excellent Johnthan Banks.

As it heads into its penultimate effort (season 6 will be it is last), expect more whip-crack writing from Vince Gilligan as it drives towards the finish line.
