I think there are very few words that I will need to convince you to start watching Peaky Blinders posthaste. First of all, it is a historical British crime drama, revolving around the Peaky Blinders gang which terrorized Birmingham in the years following the Great War. These dudes are hardcore, they even sew razor blades into their hats and stuff. Not enough to tempt you? Alright, Cillain Murphy stars as their dangerously cunning boss, Tommy Shelby. I know, Cillian Murphy is the bad guy, it's a bit of a shock, but let's not all fall off our sofas at once. What, you're still not impressed? Fine. Get ready, because this show also features Sam O'Neill as a detective of the Royal Irish Constabulary, sent over to Birmingham to take care of the gang problem. And Helen McCrory is there as well, she plays Tommy Shelby's aunt. So to sum up, Cillian Murphy, Sam O'Neill, and Helen McCrory in a period television show about gangs in Birmingham. What's not to like? All you people out there who are super annoyed about Ripper Street being cancelled? Get on this. Status: Renewed
