10 New Shows That Already Deserve To Get Cancelled
8. The Brave
This show is sort of a perfect storm of the type of irritating story that can't help but blatantly pander to it's audience, and is burdened by a tremendously unlikeable lead.
Who are the people out there clamoring to see Anne Heche get more roles? It just doesn't make sense, out of all the actors out there, known and unknown, you're going to bank on her to carry your show? Frankly, it seems like it will turn out a poor return on investment, but that remains to be seen.
The Brave focuses on both a group of special ops soldiers who are trying to rescue an American doctor who has gone missing in Syria, as well as the team of analysts stateside who assist them. If it sounds like shades of Homeland, there's a reason for it - the same production team is behind it, presumably trying to strike gold a second time.
But while Homeland came out during the relative calm of the Obama years, The Brave runs the risk of finding viewers who may not have the stomach for this type of show right now.
