10 Reasons 2015 Is The Perfect Year To Become A Doctor Who Fan

1. Family

There are few shows on television that have such a diverse group of fans. From children to parents to grandparents, there are fans of various ages and various stages of their lives. The core, of course, are the real sci-fi buffs. These fans travel to the conventions and they own the collectables. They are the life blood of the Whoniverse but there€™s another more diverse section of the Doctor Who fan base that, arguably, make up a much larger percentage of the general viewing public - families. Doctor Who is one of the only shows that will see multiple generations of the same family sit down together for 50 minutes of fun packed entertainment. They laugh together, they cry together - Doctor Who has never been a show for adults or a show for kids, it€™s been a show for families. As such, you generally find that if child is a fan then the parent tends to be a fan, too. The same can also be said in reverse as many adults find the show first, or perhaps watched when they were younger, and have in later life introduced their own families to the show. If any potential new fans are reading this now and are looking for a show that has something for every member of their family, then Doctor Who is definitely what they€™re looking for. It€™s a show that can bring families together. Sit together, eat together, watch together, talk together. The Doctor is not only a man who can fix ecosystems, discover new races and save the universe, but he can unite a family in a way that no other television show has ever done before. For that, fans thank him. What do you think of this list? Is there anything else that you think might attract new fans to the Doctor's adventures? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
