10 Reasons DC Rules Superhero TV

5. Great Actors

Stephen Amell's portrayal of Oliver Queen on Arrow has been a great joy to watch, as multi-layered and rich as you could ask for in a comic book superhero. There's a ton of subtlety that goes into each performance that Amell gives every week, from a charming little grin to the deeper, more psychological introvert that he often reverts to. It's a breakout performance, where you often forget that this is a superhero and remember the human stakes at play. But Amell isn't the only one bringing his A-game to the small screen superhero game, as Grant Gustin has proven within the first hour that he's perfect in the role of the Flash. The understated charm mixes with his boyish good looks, melting together in a character that is so very purely Barry Allen. And when these two share a screen together? Forget about it, it's just fantastic to watch and soak in. And over on Gotham, Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue are tearing it up as James Gordon and Harvey Bullock. The raw, unchained animal in Logue's Bullock is a splendid balance to McKenzie's boy scout James Gordon. All of it is a magnificent backdrop to David Mazouz's young Bruce Wayne, a fiery new take on the character that will glue you to your seats. DC is just killing it with great actors, as all of them are a blast to watch.
