10 Reasons Doctor Who Fandom Is The Best In The World

4. The Ubiquity

Doctor Who€™s origins were humble and unimposing. Its original purpose was to get kids interested in science and history but it went on to become a truly global phenomenon and now boasts fans from all parts of the world, from its home country of England to the United States, Mexico, South Korea and many more. Just look at the footage from the world tour to kick off the Series 8 premiere and you€™ll start to get an inkling of exactly how popular Doctor Who has become. This, of course, means that you can travel virtually anywhere in the world and encounter a Whovian and there is something comforting about this. It€™s nice to know that no matter how far from home your travels might take you, you can still find nice, familiar connections to Doctor Who. The adventures of the mad man with a box have pretty much become universal but for a show about exploring the universe, that€™s really not surprising at all.
