9. There Is A Wealth of Villains Who Could Return

Moffat is at his best when he is writing frightening villains. Even his detractors have to admit that the man has created some of the most memorable villains in Doctor Who history. The Vashta Nerada, the Weeping Angels, the Clockwork Robots, and the Silence, to name the stand outs. Of those listed, both the Angels and the Silence recurred throughout the Matt Smith era, and the Clockwork Robots had the honour of being the first monsters Capaldi faced off against. There is no indication yet, but it's safe to say that some fans would be pleased with a return of the Angels, or perhaps the Vashta Nerada, a race which has not had the chance to make a return yet. Even the return of the Silence could be a good idea, since they were given a less-than-satisfying conclusion at the end of Series 6. Moffat staying on through Series 10 and writing, presumably, the series€™ premieres, finales, and a few episodes in between, allows for the potential for one of these fantastic villains to return. That certainly is an exciting prospect for most Whovians. But it's not just the villains who can return...
