8. There Is A Wealth Of Characters Who Could Return
For this point, the obvious example is River Song, who was solely Moffats creation. Her story is still open-ended because fans have yet to see the story in which the Doctor gives her his screwdriver. Let's be honest, though. This point is about one character and one character only: Captain Jack Harkness. Ever since the end of the Davies era and Captain Jack's last appearance, fans have been clamouring for his return to the Whoniverse. They were satiated by his role in the spin off Torchwood, a show created and written by Davies. This may make him seem like Davies' character, however many forget that Captain Jack was first introduced in the Moffat-penned two parter The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances. Series 10 could present an excellent opportunity for Moffat to bring the character in grand fashion. It would undoubtedly be a fan pleasing moment, too.
