10 Reasons Why How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Isn't As Bad As You Remember
3. 'How Your Mother Met Me' Is A Wonderful Thank You To The Fans
Speaking of the pair nearly bumping into each other for years, the 16th episode of the season, 'How Your Mother Met Me', showcases some great moments from across the show's history, only this time from Tracy's perspective.
The episode is really a thank you to the fans for their years of watching, and rewarded those who watched it religiously by recreating a number of scenes to show how close The Mother and Ted came to meeting. We see Tracy at a St Patrick's Day party Ted also attended in Season 3, the origins of the naked man, the economics lecture room in Season 5, and a great follow-up scene to an episode later that same season where Ted dates Tracy's roommate.
Of course, we also get to learn more about The Mother herself, and some of her own personal heartache. Tracy mirrors Ted in many ways - she finds herself in love at a young age, but her relationship with that person tragically ends, before she spends years searching for a new sense of happiness as her friends move on with their own lives.
