5. It Goes There
There are many TV shows out there that cant say, wouldnt say or shouldnt say certain things and The Simpsons is most definitely one of em. The above picture is an actual blackboard gag on The Simpsons written when South Park were doing their infamous episode 201 which showed a depiction of the Muslim prophet Muhammed. 201 immediately came under fire from pressure groups worldwide, before being pulled from the episode roster by Comedy Central. South Park will say anything, provided that Trey and Matt feel its of social and comedic value and the sentiments in 201 were both. The fact that the Simpsons are willing to insert notes of support and reverence for South Park in their own show indicates a definite acknowledgement of its superiority. I wish there were more creators of TV that had the cajones to say what Trey and Matt will say, but unfortunately, I cant see that happening any time soon.
