4. Chelsea Peretti Is Finally Getting Noticed
Chelsea Peretti has been paying her comedy dues for quite some time. She's worked as a stand-up comedian for years and has multiple acclaimed specials under her belt. She wrote on Parks & Recreation and a few other lesser known comedies. She's a darling of the LA comedy crowd and has appeared in bit parts in several TV shows, including The Kroll Show and The Sarah Silverman Show. But it took the role of Gina Linetti, Captain Holt's insubordinate assistant, for the general public to take notice of Peretti. She's unendingly hilarious in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and has displayed a willingness to do absolutely anything for a laugh, including extended contemporary dance sequences. Also, her character is a childhood friend of Samberg's character and the two actors actually knew each other as kids so that is just about the most adorable piece of TV trivia ever.
