2. A Strange Game Of Chess - Secret Invasion
The folks at Marvel Studios clearly aren't fans of Netflix's The Queen's Gambit.
Had they spent their time getting lost in many a game of chess during that 2020 drama, then they'd likely have picked up on a subtle detail that can very quickly make two rather intelligent characters look like they have no idea what they're doing.
When it comes to setting up your standard game of chess, the rule "white is right" is typically followed.
This means that the square closest to each player's right hand is the white one. However, during Maria Hill and Nick Fury's game of chess within a pub during the recent Secret Invasion series, said white square was very much on the wrong side.
And despite Hill noting how this isn't exactly the first time the two former S.H.I.E.L.D. pals have played before, the agent also goes and oddly moves twice without giving Fury a chance to adjust his pieces, too.
Secret Invasion had bigger things to worry about than a poorly executed game of chess, of course. But it's still hard to unsee this rather perplexing game once you spot it mid-episode one tipple.
