7. Closing Time
You probably wouldn't expect the word 'lighthearted' to be attached to an episode featuring the Cybermen but it's the perfect adjective to describe this one. In fact, this story is so frolicsome that pretty much any remaining fear factor the metal monsters had, which at this point was admittedly none anyway, is eliminated in favour of a more heartwarming escapade, though it's still an entertaining one nonetheless. Closing Time (once again the lead in to a series finale - can you see a pattern developing here?) is mostly remembered for marking the return of James Corden as the ever popular, and some would even say companion who never was, Craig Owens after his initial introduction in Series 5's The Lodger. This time fans were introduced to his newborn son Alfie, also known as Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All, who is already deserving of his own spin off. The story itself is pretty simple which is another reason it's the perfect duvet day. A classic Cyberman adventure it is not but Matt Smith and James' on screen chemistry is once again sizzling. Not to give everything away but bodies go missing in a shopping centre and the Doctor and Craig basically end up saving the world with love. Oh, that basically does give everything away but you'll still have a great time as you watch the drama unfold for yourself. Promise.
