10 Ridiculous TV Premises You Won't Believe Were Real

1. Juiced

What’s more distasteful than a sitcom about Hitler? A prank show hosted by recently acquitted maybe-murderer OJ Simpson, in which he spoofs the appalling crimes for which he was controversially found not guilty. It remains astonishing that Juiced got made, that no one stopped in their tracks and said “this probably isn’t going to end well”.

In the show’s wildest sketch, OJ poses as a used car salesman, attempting to flog a white Bronco, like the one in which he fled from the police. Je boasts of its “escapability”, and points out a bullet hole. Coming up with a sketch this gross is one thing, but for Simpson to agree to do it boggles the mind.

Aside from the scenes which poke fun at the murder of two people, Juiced is generally a gross affair. OJ letches around women, tosses out casual homophobia, dresses up as a pimp and a homeless guy. He whites up for one torturous sketch as a bingo caller.

Juiced, unsurprisingly, did not last for very long. It was nothing short of a disgrace, though for its star, it’s pretty far down on his list of lowlights.
