10 Scariest Star Trek Episodes Ever
3. Impulse
Star Trek: Enterprise - Season 3, Episode 5
A recent survey of 100 Star Trek fans - that I've just entirely made-up - revealed that the scariest things about Enterprise was the state of some of its visual effects. That and the fact The Big Show was in it. However coming in a close 2nd, was the episode Impulse, which dispenses with the usual unnerving psychological horror of Star Trek in favour of an episode about rampaging, murderous, zombie Vulcans.
Discovering a Vulcan ship adrift in an asteroid belt, Archer, T'Pol, and Leuitaentant Reed venture onboard to try and get to the bottom of the situation. En route, T'Pol casually drops in that an entire Vulcan crew went mad and killed every single person on board, while out looking for this exact ship. That wouldn't have been pertinent before deciding to mount a rescue, no?
To the astonishment of absolutely nobody, the vessel is also full of Vulcans who've got irredeemably mad, and it's mere minutes before T'Pol starts to become one of them. Our away team fight ther way back to Entierprise, but not after a heft chuck of jumpscares and elevated heartrates in blackened coridoors.
