4. Will & Jazz's Business Proposition - Slum Like It...Not!
http://youtu.be/UHEyeYWSiys Will and Jazz's comedy duo worked fantastically in the show. You can't deny that watching the same footage Jazz being thrown out of the Banks' home time and time again became tedious by the 6th season which is why, although classic, it's not in this list. However, the two definitely need a mention. The show wouldn't have been the same without appearances from Will's feckless and socially immune friend DJ Jazzy Jeff. In this clip, Will and Jeff try to convince Uncle Phil to buy the apartment block that Jazz lives in to save it from being demolished. The entire show was laugh a minute slapstick but this scene epitomises the relationship between Will and Jazz, a relationship that becomes amplified through Uncle Phil's weariness of the duo. Jazz was often portrayed as the catalyst for many of Will's stupider decisions, and a large personification of the kind of bad influence that Phil was trying to protect Will from in Bel Air. Part of the way in which Will's character evolves throughout the show is the way in which he is influenced by Jazz less and less as the run goes on, though he always remains loyal to his friend. DJ Jazzy Jeff had long since been a popular presence on the duo's stage performances in the world of hip-hop. Perhaps the best compliment I can pay to the chemistry between The Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff on the show that it is so natural and naturally comical that it almost eradicates from our minds the music the duo made together, which was easily some of the worst in the history of hip-hop.
