3. Doctor Who
This year, Doctor Who hopes to start their 8th season off with a bang, which naturally means bringing back David Tennant and Billie Piper, two of the show's most beloved actors. The 50th Anniversary is set to air on November 23rd, and the Christmas special - which sees the departure of Matt Smith and the arrival of Peter Capaldi - will be airing in December. I'll admit, I haven't been a religious viewer of Doctor Who since the beginning of season 6, but if there's ever been a time for the show to draw its wayward audiences back in, this is it. A new Doctor is always cause for sadness and apprehension, both at the regeneration of an established character and the simultaneous establishment of an entirely new one. The Doctor is always the Doctor, but if there's one thing we've learned, he never stays the same. Sure, the show might lose a few fans who decide to follow Matt Smith in his new endeavors, but there has always been a feeling of rebirth and new beginnings when a new actor steps in to carry the torch, so to speak. I'll be giving the show another try simply because it's a fresh start. Just think, we have a whole new wardrobe and vocabulary to look forward to. We're probably even going to get a new catchphrase! If that doesn't excite you, I don't know what will, at this point.
