With the remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and the multiplayer Resident Evil: Resistance just around the corner, it seems like nobody can get enough Resident Evil this year. It's a good job Netflix have fans covered with a long-rumoured and recently-confirmed via a leak Resident Evil show coming to screens later in the year.

Set twenty-six years after the discovery of the T-Virus, the show takes place in the town of Clearfield, Maryland. According to the leaked synopsis, the town has "long stood in the shadow of three seemingly unrelated behemoths - the Umbrella Corporation, the decommissioned Greenwood Asylum, and Washington, D.C." so it shouldn't take a genius to figure out that the asylum has or is a lab and that there's going to be an outbreak of the T-Virus.

What's interesting though, is that the Umbrella Corporation is still going so long after the discovery of the virus. This implies that the Racoon City incident from the games and movies did not happen in this world.

Netflix have shown they understand how to make good zombie fiction with Kingdom, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle arguably the biggest zombie franchise in history.
