10 Sci-Fi TV Shows You Must Binge-Watch This Fall

8. Stargirl

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous
DC Universe/The CW

Stargirl entertained U.S. audiences in two ways between May and August as it simultaneously streamed on DC Universe and aired on The CW. An original of the former, it boasted a single cohesive narrative, incredible performances and high production values, coming off as more of a 13-instalment movie than a TV series.

Spotlighting the DC Comics character of the same, Stargirl follows a young Courtney Whitmore who struggles to settle into her new environment.

However, with the help of her retired superhero stepfather, she uncovers the secrets that lie in Blue Valley's history and, with it, the long-forgotten feud between the Justice Society of America and the deadly Injustice Society. And with that, she sets out to stop the ISA by creating her very own JSA.

Though technically a summer show in its country of origin, the series just recently began the rollout to international audiences - with all 13 episodes having just landed on Amazon Prime in the UK.

And with almost all of the regular superhero content off screens until January at least, Stargirl is the perfect way to fill that void. Believe me when I say, you won't regret watching it.
