3. The Porn Star Who Was Almost A Doctor
In the season eight Seinfeld episode “The Abstinence”, Jerry’s friend Elaine dates Ben, a doctor who has not yet qualified for a license to practice. The character, played by another future Breaking Bad star Bob Odenkirk, is incompetent, but inoffensive.
Odenkirk then returned years later as retired porn star Gil Bang in the first season of Curb. Gil is Larry’s golf club acquaintance and after Larry mistakenly calls him, Gil invites Larry and Cheryl over for a dinner party.
Things go south when Gil disgusts Cheryl with very graphic tales from his pornographic acting days, and things just get worse from there. Later, Larry is caught watching one of Gil’s old dirty movies by Jeff’s parents.
