10 Simpsons Voice Performances That COMPLETELY Changed

6. Comic Book Guy

Homer Simpson
Fox

Comic Book Guy’s voice has changed at least once during The Simpsons, though the most observant viewers may argue it’s actually changed a couple of times.

His official debut comes in Three Men And A Comic Book, where Bart, Milhouse and Martin each go in on a particularly expensive Radioactive Man comic. Right off the bat, his sarcastic, nerdy personality is there, though his voice leaves a little to be desired.

Hank Azaria’s regular Comic Book Guy voice is deep, and sees him stretch out his words in many a sarcastic rant. Though it’s not the most iconic of Simpsons voices with the general populace, it’s one which is instantly recognisable to fans.

Back in Three Men And A Comic Book (and a couple of subsequent appearances) though, he sounded rather different. It was less like a caricature and more like a normal voice, as well as being a little angrier.

As well as this change, before his official debut someone with uncanny resemblance to Comic Book Guy but slightly slimmer and with a different outfit features in Season One as a t-shirt seller. This character has yet a third voice, but may not be Comic Book Guy at all.
