10 Songs Forever Ruined By TV Shows

7. Six Feet Under

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNwARV9tPUw Victim: Sia's Breathe Me Want to start sobbing uncontrollably in front of friends and family for seemingly no reason? Simply turn on the song that Six Feet Under chose to use to conclude their long-running series on family and the business of death. Breathe Me, the song by Australian songstress Sia, is a tragic sounding series of deep breaths and lyrics that became the haunting ending song of a show known for featuring tragic death sequences. It has also become a song that sent thousands of people into hysterical crying fits. Playing over a series of the remaining main characters meeting their ends, Breathe Me has the double whammy of being such a sad song on its own and now being associated with the deaths of deeply beloved characters. Probably the most upsetting sequence is watching Claire Fisher - the youngest child - grow old and die alone in a bed as she reflects on the family members that have passed on before her. The combination of upsetting visual images and sob-worthy lyrics unfortunately makes Breathe Me into the perfect sad song and has likely been used on many tearjerking montages since the airing of the finale of Six Feet Under in 2005.
