10 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2020

3. Kevin Conway

Star Trek The Next Generation Kahless clone
CBS

Kevin Conway appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, in the sixth season episode Rightful Heir. He played Kahless The Unforgettable - or at least a cloned duplicate of him. He was brought into existence by the monks on the Klingon Monastary of Borath, coinciding with Lt. Worf's visit. They run into quick trouble when Chancellor Gowron is less than thrilled to have a political rival.

Conway himself had a long and successful career in film and television. He also appeared on Broadway, alongside Deep Space Nine actor Philip Anglim, in The Elephant Man. He appeared in the war epics Gettysburg and Gods and Generals, in fact turning down the role of Théoden in The Lord of the Rings so that he could resurrect his role in Gods and Generals.

He took over as the 'control' voice in The Outer Limits from Vic Perrin, in the 1995-2002 revival of the show. He also had a major recurring role in the HBO series Oz as Seamus O'Reilly.

Conway passed away on 5th February 2020 from a heart attack. He was 77 years old.
