10 Star Trek Characters Who MUST Return

6. Worf

Worf All Good Things

If Michael Dorn had his way, Worf would have returned to Star Trek many years ago. He pushed for a Captain Worf series for some time, before the producers opted for a different direction. However, Lower Decks, Picard or even Prodigy would all be in a perfect position to further explore his character.

Without counting Worf's appearance on the Enterprise thanks to Riker and Troi's wedding, Worf's last position was as Federation Ambassador to Quo'nos. In the years following the Dominion War, the Klingon Empire was forced to rebuild in much the same way as the Federation, they physically they were an awful lot closer to Romulan space. The supernova is sure to affect much of the Klingon territory as well.

Worf would be instrumental in helping to orchestrate any joint operations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire to aid the Romulans, if of course, they agreed to do so. The Klingon and Romulan Empires have hated each other for almost as long as Starfleet has been zooming through space. With Picard being the attempted hero of the Romulan people, that could put the two men in a very awkward position when next they meet - particularly if the Empire refused to help.
