2. Sheldon Acts Out The Entire Show In His Head
Killing two birds with one stone here, as it's believed by some diehard Big Bang Theory fans that Sheldon actually escaped from a mental institution, but while he was still committed there, he acted out the entire series in his head.
Let's break it down, as it's a tad too much to take in at once.
Sheldon's actor, Jim Parsons, appeared on an episode of Nickelodeon's iCarly series, playing a character named Caleb. Caleb proclaimed he was from the year 2077, before beginning to make some wild predictions. However, numerous Reddit users believe this is actually Sheldon from the future, who had (officially) gone crazy while travelling through time.
Before all of this, though, Sheldon had been sent to an institution in Los Angeles after murdering his father (keep in mind, George Cooper has indeed passed away). While there, he meets fellow inmates Penny and Leonard, who had been committed for reasons that have some truth to them. Penny had a mental breakdown following her failed acting career, while Leonard was sent there by the US Government after inadvertently giving information to North Korea via Joyce Kim.
Thus, he plays out what life would be like outwith the institution in his head. Sheldon has never backed down from using his imagination for better or for worse, so this doesn't actually sound too wild.
