10 The Simpsons Episodes That PISSED People Off

1. Lisa Goes Gaga (S23 E22)

Of all 700 plus episodes of The Simpsons that have aired since 1989, across 33 seasons, there is one entry in the show's long history that stands out as worse than any other. 'Lisa Goes Gaga' is the consensus low point for the once acclaimed show, has an abysmal rating of 3.9 on IMDb, and is the epitome of the downfall of one of the most iconic TV families ever.

Creativity was at an all-time low as the writers simply leaned on its special guest star instead of writing a story that was actually well thought out, funny, or entertaining in any way.

The Simpsons have a long, long list of guest stars to have shown up in Springfield, many from the music industry, and it used to be that they were a welcome addition to an already brilliant episode. Lady Gaga's appearance, however, couldn't be further from the likes of Aerosmith, Tom Jones, or George Harrison from years before.

For some reason, the pop icon was able to use her psychic powers to sense that Lisa was depressed and in need of cheering up, so she headed to Springfield with a full bizarre wardrobe including a meat dress for Homer to try and eat. It's not difficult to see why this episode pissed fans off and sits at the very bottom of the pile.
