Russell T Davies gave the viewers many things during his reign of the Doctor Who ethos; the revamped Time War Daleks, the Master and Davros... But he has only given the show and its viewers many twists; a twist that is gradual and precise, always at the perfect time. For example, the twist surrounding the Tenth Doctor's demise, where the culprit was not the Master, but it was Donna's grandfather Wilf. A twist which started from the 2007 Christmas Special, Voyage of the Damned. However, Doctor Who is now helmed by the infamous mastermind Steven Moffat. The cries of his victims can be heard light years away. Despite having incredible ideas that only Doctor Who could contour up, Moffat has managed to create an infinite amount of plot holes when coming up with a twist, especially Series 7 with the mystery of the Impossible Girl that is Clara. For a better example, the twist surrounding River Song took far too long, as she was a character that was first introduced in Series 4. Amending the twists to the subtlety that Davies applied, the unique plot twists would improve the rates of the show tremendously.
