Personally, the creators made a mistake in lazily slapping 'Fear' to the front of a successful brand. For one, it instantly labels the show as a spin-off. Of course people will always recognise it as one, but it should be approached as a regular, full series in its own right as opposed to mooching off The Walking Dead's set. FTWD should be an entirely different entity to The Walking Dead, no doubt about it, though the title has already put the show on a lower platform than Walking Dead. The storylines, struggles, relationships and characters should be an entirely different breed to the ones fans have already seen played out, but at the same time, writers should keep plenty up their sleeves to avoid starving The Walking Dead of great new ideas. And please, please don't have any extended train track sequences...
