When The Night of the Doctor came out, people went crazy. The often forgotten Eighth Doctor had finally made another screen appearance and it was followed by the inevitable loud calls for him to make more, with the possibility of a web series even in discussion. Or, in keeping with tradition, he could star in another film. After all, the audio adventures from Big Finish and McGann's own enthusiasm serve as good indicators that such a film would be likely to be good, and just as likely to be a box office draw for the BBC, too. The potential film could showcase one of the audio companions or explore the relationship between himself and the Ninth, Tenth or Eleventh (pre-Day of the Doctor) Doctors and their judgments of him for something he hasn't done yet. Themes like this, such as the concept of blame for events yet to pass, were briefly explored in the Series 6 opener but not expounded upon enough. This idea needn't necessarily be in place for the movie - Paul McGann has consistently performed at a high quality throughout his various exploits as the Eighth Doctor and a film would likely be no different. If not a multi-Doctor story, perhaps an exploration of the Eighth Doctor's specific relationship with the beginning of the Time War and his decision not to participate is destined for the big screen.
