When the Great Intelligence said the word 'Valeyard' in The Name of the Doctor, every fan who knew of the enigmatic prosecutor in Trial of a Time Lord gasped in unison. For those who don't know, though, the Valeyard is an amalgamation of the Doctor's dark side, generated between his twelfth and final incarnations. He was one of the more interesting antagonists of Doctor Who in that he wasn't an outright maniac. He still had the Doctor's demeanor, if colored by egotism rather than experience and compassion, and despite his temper, he was ordinarily calm and collected, similar to other incarnations of the Doctor. A complex villain for a film would be ideal and the Doctor's foreknowledge concerning him would play out in one of many ways, all of which would be worth a watch.
