10 Things You Didn't Know About Charlie Cox

9. Cox Is The First-Ever Non-American Actor To Play Daredevil

Cox may not be the first actor to portray Daredevil on screen - but he is the very first non-American to do so. Following in the footsteps of Ben Affleck and Rex Smith - and the voice artists Frank Welker, Edward Albert and Bill Smitrovich - Cox will portray Matt Murdock in the upcoming Netflix series. Smith appeared in NBC's 1989 live-action television film "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk", Affleck was the title character in 20th Century Fox's 2003 film "Daredevil" (pictured above), while the other three have voiced various animated television portrayals of the character. However, Cox will become the first-ever actor born away from North America to take on the iconic Marvel role.
