Acting on Teen Wolf was a family business for several of the show’s stars, as the series recruited several of the cast’s relatives to join in the action.

Sheriff Stilinski and Lydia’s mom Natalie Martin were seen going on a date in the Season Five episode “Dreamcatchers.” This budding romance was built upon the real-life chemistry of husband-and-wife duo Linden Ashby and Susan Walters. The couple has two daughters in real life.

The 2011 bonus web episodes, entitled Teen Wolf: Search for a Cure, featured Tyler Posey’s father John Posey as Dr. Conrad Fenris. In the web episodes, Scott and Stiles tracked down Dr. Fenris, a werewolf expert, in hope that he may be able to cure Scott’s lycanthropy. Dr. Fenris made his official television debut in the Season One episode “Wolf’s Bane” as a doctor examining Jackson Whittemore’s claw wounds, before later reemerging as an Eichen House doctor in Season Four. John Posey appeared in a total of six Teen Wolf episodes.

In the Season 5 premiere “Creatures of the Night,” Gabriel Hogan, played the chimera Belasko, a werewolf/garuda hybrid with glowing talons. He is the son of Michael Hogan, who portrayed Gerard Argent in the series. Additionally, Ellery Sprayberry guest starred in the Season Six episode “Pressure Test” as young female werewolf named Tierney. She is the younger sister of Dylan Sprayberry, the actor who played Scott’s beta werewolf Liam Dunbar.
