10 Times Family Guy Went Way Too Far

Even The Griffins Go Too Far...

Once upon a time Family Guy was a small show bouncing around different time-slots on the FOX Network. It was even cancelled at one stage back in 2002. However, after impressive DVD sales FOX began to see faith in the edgy cartoon. It's now over 20 years since the first episode aired and Family Guy still occupies a slot on FOX's channels.

It's quite shocking how the show continues to be relevant all these years later despite its dark humour. The Parents Television Council has named it "Worst TV Show Of The Week" over 40 times!

Lucky for the producers of the show they aren't aiming their product at parents or kids. However, even Family Guy has annoyed their audience a few times over the 18 seasons.

Even in the name of comedy these "jokes" went way too far.

10. Dear Diary - Jackpot!

This entry revolves around Glenn Quagmire. It won't be a shock to many to see him on this list as he has had his fair share of controversies. This particular incident takes place in the season 14 episode "Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?"

To cut a long story short, Stewie kidnaps a teenage cheerleader named Cindi and hides her in a male bathroom. He then proceeds to tie her up and gag her with duct tape.

Later in the episode Quagmire finds this girl who is till tied up in the bathroom. After smiling for a moment he ponders to himself "Dear diary: Jackpot!" There is no sugar coating this he is flat out thinking about raping a defenceless teenager...
