10 Times Ned Flanders Was Indeedily-Doodily The Funniest Character In The Simpsons

1. When His Ski Outfit Was Far, Far Too Snug

Ned Flanders may take clean living to the absolute extreme, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s certainly kept him active and healthy for a senior citizen.

In the Season 11 episode “Little Big Mom,” the Simpsons family take one of their impromptu trips, this time to a ski resort. Homer has a fateful encounter with Flanders on the slopes, where Ned reveals both his surprising aptitude for skiing and… well, revealing almost everything else besides too.

His outfit is so darn molded to his body that Homer remarks, “Flanders! That suit’s a little revealing, isn’t it?” This perfectly sets Ned up for what must be his most hilarious, meme-tastic line ever: “Well, it allows for maximum mobility. Feels like I’m wearing nothing at all!”

Every Simpsons fan (and everyone who isn’t) will be familiar with the “stupid sexy Flanders!” line this prompts. Again, Ned is one of those characters who doesn’t tend to make the joke himself, but is perfect fodder for the silly antics of others. Plus, of course, nobody can wiggle their backside is a ski suit quite like this guy.
