10 Times Star Trek Actors Got Arrested

2. Brian Bonsall

Star Trek Alexander
CBS

Of the three actors who have played Alexander Rozhenko, Brian Bonsall is perhaps the most recognisable. He played the character for the majority of his appearances in Star Trek: The Next Generation, taking over from Jon Paul Steur before the role passed to Marc Worden for Deep Space Nine.

He retired from acting early on and from 1995 – 2000, he attended high school. In 2007, he was arrested on charges of assaulting his girlfriend, for which he was sentenced to two years of probation. In 2009, he was then charged with third-degree assault and failure to appear, in connection with the 2007 incident.

Finally, in 2010 Bonsall was charged with using marijuana in violation of the terms of his release, for which he was sentenced to another two years of probation. At this point, however, he says that he turned his life around, choosing sobriety going forward. In 2016 he cited the entire episode as a learning experience and in 2019 he became a father for the first time, to a son named Oliver.
