10 Times The Doctor Wasn't Very 'Doctory'

10. The Twin Dilemma - Strangling Peri

The Sixth Doctor doesn’t get off to the best of starts, with this incarnation suffering from the worst case of post-regeneration trauma we’d seen at the time. But the tip of the iceberg has to be turning on his companion Peri and strangling her to the ground, until she manages to stop him with his own reflection.

Whilst fans of the Sixth Doctor can justify this with the fact the Doctor is suffering from post-regeneration, this action is certainly out of character.

Over the course of her time in the TARDIS, Peri supports the Sixth Doctor and takes care of him, but to see her suffer like this maybe wasn’t the best creative choice. Although, it does get across the message that this Doctor is a lot different to his predecessor.
