10 Times The Doctor Wasn't Very 'Doctory'

5. The Seeds Of Doom - Twisting Scorby's Neck

Over the course of the show, the Doctor has come into conflict with many henchmen. Whether he stops them with his own buffoonery, or the use of his Venusian Akido, it’s not something you can criticise the Doctor for as he needs to be able to defend himself.

But in The Seeds Of Doom, the Doctor takes this a bit further. When being chased by Harrison Chase’s goons, the Doctor is confronted by his main henchmen, Scorby, who after a scuffle, the Doctor simply twists the villain’s neck…

Now, Scorby does get up from this incident, so the Doctor didn’t actually snap his neck, but on-screen you literally see our hero twist the man’s neck to incapacitate him.

This isn’t the Doctor’s only moment of violence in this serial, though, as earlier on in a quarry, the Doctor, after a confrontation with a deadly chauffeur, simply punches the man out whilst he’s on the ground.
