She did her duty for Queen and country as Yvonne Hartman but during her 18 month stint in Albert Square she was doing a different kind of serving as the scheming landlady of the Queen Vic. Like her character in Doctor Who, who was introduced in the 2006 Series 2 finale as the administrator of Torchwood, Chrissie Watts didn't let anyone stand in her way in her ongoing mission to get to where she wanted to be. She dramatically killed off her husband, the aforementioned Dirty Den (and he really was dead this time!), as part of the soap's 20th anniversary festivities in 2005 but met a rather sticky end herself when she was ultimately arrested for her crimes. It wasn't all plain sailing for Yvonne, either, who was painfully upgraded by a Cyberman in Doomsday, although she did somehow manage to maintain some sort of control over her new body (she's got such a big Hart, man!) to perform one final act of heroism by blowing up a troop of ensuing metal monsters on the stairs. Hell hath no fury...
