There can be a wide range of relationships that live on TV and film sets. Couples fall in love and live happily ever after, while Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul became best friends through working on Breaking Bad. Then there is the other end of the scale - the Sarah Jessica Parker/Kim Cattrall side of the scale.

The two starred together as Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones respectively throughout Sex and the City's six-season, two-film run, but Cattrall has revealed in the years since that the two were never friends. There has been a pretty public feud between them for some years now.

When Sex and the City was revived as And Just Like That in 2021, Parker returned along with Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who played Miranda and Charlotte, but there was no sign of Samantha. The spat between the two apparently ran so deep that Kim Cattrall wanted absolutely nothing to do with the reunion, and so it was just the three best friends who returned.

However, in spite of never wanting to be on set with Sarah Jessica Parker again, Kim Cattrall shocked everyone by returning in the show's second season. She filmed her sole scene away from everyone else and had no contact with Sarah Jessica Parker, but Samantha shared a phone call with her old friend Carrie Bradshaw, just when it seemed impossible.
