10 TV Deleted Scenes That Would Have Improved Their Shows

2. Michael Buys A Defibrillator - The Office

Lori The Walking Dead
NBC

After one of his employees suffers a heart attack, The Office's Michael Scott invests in a defibrillator, partly for the welfare of his staff in the event of a similar incident taking place at Dunder Mifflin, but mostly so he can play around with it.

In this hilarious deleted scene, the paper company boss terrorises his charges while putting on a mock Terminator accent and attempts to use it on Toby Flenderson like a hand buzzer, only for the prank to backfire when the machine fails to start.

The Office gets plenty of mileage out defibrillator humour. Moments after his fun and games have concluded, Michael mistakenly believes a sleeping Stanley has suffered another heart attack and rushes to his aid with his new toy at the ready. Ironically, this rude awakening almost sends poor Stanley into cardiac arrest.

Every inch of this deleted scene is vintage Michael Scott, to the extent that it's hard to imagine it diluting any episode of the NBC sitcom.
