2. Glenn Survives… For Now - The Walking Dead
From goofy delivery boy to headstrong survivor to romancer of Maggie, Glenn Rhee's character developed more than perhaps any other over the course of The Walking Dead TV show.
This is why it was so agonising to watch his supposed death in the Season 6 episode Thank You. After getting himself cornered by walkers alongside fellow survivor Nicholas, Glenn is horrified when his companion shoots himself in the head to avoid being eaten.
As Nicholas' body falls into the pit of zombies below, it inadvertently drags Glenn down too. The episode ends with him watching on in horror as blood and gore fly everywhere.
The show put so much effort into making you think Glenn was dead that it actually made it blatantly obvious that he wasn't. The shot of Glenn being "ripped apart" was so obscured that fans knew something had to be up.
They were right, as it turned out that Glenn had managed to escape whilst the walkers feasted on Nicholas' corpse.
Although, considering what did end up happening to Glenn, maybe it would have been for the best if he did meet his end here.
